WISATA TAMAN OPAK This project is an Opak Park tourist area (WTO) Multipurpose Building (Joglo and Cottage) which is located under the Ratu Boko temple. This area consists of seven cottages spread across locations next to open space and a restaurant/functional room. This project takes a contemporary approach from the Joglo, a traditional Javanese house with a roof structure that imitates the surrounding mountains.
The term "Joglo" is also used to refer to a typical Javanese type of roof constructed from terracotta roof tiles with a towering central portion of the roof supported by four or more main wooden pillars (saka guru). The roof is pyramid-shaped with the center being higher and steeper. Joglo consists of two parts; pavilion and palace. The pavilion is the front part of the Joglo which is used for various activities. The inside is surrounded by walls and supporting rooms such as the backstage and kitchen.
LUMBUNG COTTAGE
The design concept revolves around combining the beauty of a lush tropical landscape with the timeless elegance of modern architecture. Inspired by Geoffrey Bawa's philosophy of harmonizing architecture with nature, we aimed to create a venue that offers a serene, romantic and sophisticated atmosphere for weddings and events. Key design elements include:
-Embrace clean lines, natural materials, and a neutral color palette to evoke a sense of calm and sophistication.
-Utilizing sustainable construction methods and materials in line with Bawa's ethos.
-Maximize the use of natural light and ventilation to provide a sense of connection to the tropical environment.

Our vision is to optimize space for nearby projects while leaving room for future expansion. We aimed to use the landscape as a natural partition to protect the villa from the surrounding urban environment, creating an immersive experience where guests will feel enveloped by lush native plants, trees and enchanting waters.
